Consider-
Your 2nd-3rd gear spacing is essentially stock (think wide). Going to the 3.11/1.93 will keep the 1-2 split a fair bit shorter than stock while only closing the 2nd-3rd gap by 100 or so rpm's; if you're going to spend more money on this, consider the 3.11/1.86 gears. The 1-2 spacing will still be slightly shorter than stock (3500-2000 vs 3500-1900) and the 2-3 split will have been reduced 300rpm, from 3500-2150 to about 2450. I've been in cars with closer 1st and 2nd gears and while they're fun, I think closing the 2nd to 3rd gap should be done first, as this makes a car with more hp (and a higher rpm range) way more fun to drive.
On a totally unrelated note, if you do change the 1st-2nd gearset, let me know what you're willing to let the 3.11-2.08 set go for, as it might be just right in a Speedster 5 speed. The beauty of having an extra gear to manipulate...
