Anyone know where I can get one of the coveted 356C fan pulleys?

I read George's piece on fan speeds in the knowlege section and feel that, for the money, it's a good thing to have, but neither Tweeks nor Automotion has them (at least that I could find).

Pelican? Or I could wait for the Terryville, CT VW show and see if I can find one at the flea market.

Thanks, gn

I haven't yet Gord; I need to get the car's shipping damage fixed up first. I already have the paint & clear coat but the body man needs to set some time aside and he hasn't been able to yet. This weekend I took out the bumper brackets to get them modified (along with JJR's) to accept the sway bar. Today JJR and myself installed a Sway-a-Way bar in mine along with the Bugpack urethane bushings and clamps. We have some different ideas in how to modify the brackets; we'll post pictures when we're done.

I met with Steve O'Brien (356fan) & his family from Des Moines yesterday. They came here to take a Caribbean cruise so I picked them up at the hotel, showed them around a little bit, went to a nice local restaurant and came here so I could show them my car. Upon checking out the car and measuring the alternator pulley, Steve told me that my VS has a 356 pulley, which is smaller than a regular VW and thus makes the fan move faster. He tells me he wouldn't be surprised if Kirk also equips his engines with welded fans. Now it makes sense to me why my car's temperature is always so low. I hope he's right.
