356 hubcaps - wanted

Trying to locate set of moons with the painted emblem raised in the middle. Don't car if they are original or replica's. Pickings were slim on eBay.

Are these needed for 4 lug or 5 lug wheels? Original ones will not work for 4 lug wheels (Guess you could jury-rig clips but not sure how tight they would fit). 4 lug caps will not fit 5 lug wheels. You could buy original caps for the crests (or if lucky just the crests) and apply them to the EMPI crested hubcaps (not great chrome though) or 914 plain hub caps (these appear to be stainless steel or high quality chrome). For the 4 lug there are basically 3 styles - the smooth rounded moon (never seen these with crests though), the raised nipple (36D?) like the original and a slightly raised semi-nipple (34B?) (like the plain 914 caps). Doubt you will find new after market ones - PORSCHE lawyers took care of that some years ago (copyright infringement).

The standard Beck hubcaps are smooth and rounded like Moons, but they're a little flatter, and they fit 4-lug wheels. The Beck logo can be easily replaced with one of your choosing. I gave away a set at the raffle this past weekend. Can't remember who got them, though.

My wheels are 4-lug. I presently have a set of baby moons on the wheels. Was hoping to replace them with a set having the porsche crest.
