anyone try to duplicate the oil filter set up of a 356 onto a type 1?

Tom - go to the 'Search' tab above and enter '356 Oil Filter Conversion'. Then click on Wolfgang's post '356 Oil cannister'. Some good info that will most likely answer any question you may have about this topic.
And you'll end up, like most of us did, realizing it's not worth the effort.

Mount the can and hang the oil lines..looks great and you can use the can as a shop rag holder :~)

Using the 'Search' feature, enter 356 oil canister, then scroll down results to post by SuZStew, then scroll down posts to Dr. Clock (Merklin) post for pic.

i have an extra 356 oil canister i am not going to use. PM me if you want to buy it.
H-Filter oil filter canister and 356 Oil filer.
Fitted new SCAT carb twist linkage has a lower profile than the Kadron linkage, currently a W.I.P for canister placement until new SCAT fan-shroud arrives. Canister still needs silver powder coating, decals and final placement.
My intention is to give it more of a 356 cosmetic look, not functionally as mentioned on previous posts.
