I am in Braunschweig, Germany for another day and a half. Does anyone know of local sources of 356 vintage parts they could give me the contact info for?

I tried that a few of times while in Germany and was refered to the good ole US of A. I was told by those in the know over there that the States is where they go for their parts.
I even tried a dealer for some basic parts and found the dealer to be much more expensive than the US ... and that was before the Euro so I'd expect it'd be even more so now.
Bottom line is I wouldn't waste too much time looking for old Porsche parts there. Enjoy the beer and bratwurst instead.
This matches my experience so far. I checked with Angela (fresh new employee from grad school who likes all things Porsche)and she said to use e-bay, it is the best. No vintage parts guys here in the area. Oh well at least I got to talk to her:)
