Bill, you are killing me. I was also watching this thread in amazement. Between John trying to dispell an urban myth on another thread with at least a half dozen post following his, and overmarked 356R plate frames on this thread.. I don't know which is more entertaining.

oep

I do have an original SOC badge for sale at $200 though.
20 bucks for this frame is a fair deal if you're not a 356R member. I paid 10 bucks plus 7 to ship it to me. So an extra 3 to get it to you is the way i see it. i don't think i have an overpriced frame here, so hope nobody thinks that, it's more about my time to get it to you. i've given away other stuff here so this is the first time i thought i'd sell something i don't need.

derek
Derek, you don't need to be a member to buy one for $10.

But, I personally do believe in a free market. If someone wants to pay $20. than you have every right to sell it for that, in fact you have every right to sell it for $53. on EBay. Just don't let on you work for Exxon/Mobil or hold a lot of the stock, as it may leave a bad taste in people's mouth.
Bill, I wasn't aware that non-members can buy from the 356r goodie store... is that what you are saying? Not that I don't believe you. Anyhow it would cost 17 bucks through the store because of their minimum shipping costs. I'll sell mine for 15 bucks. It's new and probably will pay for my gas to the post office :-) If anyone has e-mailed me, already, the price is now 15 bucks. Sleesh..... didn't know that this would turn out like this.
Derek, I believe anyone can buy a license plate from the Registry, I am sitting here looking at the order form, and there is no place to put your registry number (but there definitely is a place for a credit card number).

I was just ribbing you, honestly, I sure hope I am not costing you a sale here.

I mean, I really am for free markets and all. I was thinking if we could get $53 bucks for every one we could buy for $10, that might be a real going business. Although I guess someone would figure it out after we sold our 10,000th license plate frame.

I can say that anyone that buys your license plate frame will be happy they did, they look really good.
