Or just put ecctol Do brouse and select Porsche. Pick the year 1955 I know there's one there a black one in Temecula Ca. I think he wants 11,500 for it. I think there's some other flared models in there also, 1956 or 1957 you will just have to look. There's also a couple on eBay-Autos

Looking good Duc! Congrats; use the search utility or the knowledge section here for anything you might need to know about; it's probably been covered here hundreds of times and you get the added plus of being able to take advantage of all the forum members' previous experiences and mistakes so you do it right the first time.
Hey Ben,
Thanks for your advise and motivation! I really am getting into this now! The more I read on Speedsterowners.com, the more I get drawn into everything. When I first looked at the car, I fell in love with it.... I know that you told me to play it safe first and buy a pratical one, learn about it, then switch...but when I saw this flare Speedster, I couldn't help myself. Anyhow, an update, I just brought my Speedster to paint on Saturday, 11/26/2005. Paco at A1 Universal Paint, in Torrance. He told gave me a good deal....at least I think it is. $2000, for reblocking it at least 2-3 more times so that the body will be perfect, then paint it Jet Black. I hope that it turns out really nice! I also went to get a motor quote, $2000 for a 1915cc, with cromed, webers, and stuff...don't know much about motors, so sorry. next will be interior, any advice? after that? ... car should be ready to ride! hope to have it all done by end of January!
Vintage makes a nice interior. Tan is nice with black. Black is good too but gets pretty darn hot in the sun. Mine is black and boy does it fry you on a hot day. Don't care much for grey with the black but some like it.

Get a nice wiring harness from Vintage or call Painless and they will make one up for you. Exaust is also tricky.

$2000 isn't bad for paint. Be sure all the fitting to the pan is done first. I also would make sure the windshield, door handles and chrome (basically anything that requires a hole in the body) are fitted before paint. Nice thing is that fiberglass is easy to fix when you make a mistake, but not after it is painted. You are a better man than I if you can cut every hole without a scratch, especially with your first one.

btw I really like the wheels, what size are they? Who makes them?
Thanks for the advice! the car is from Fiberfab. all the things line up right, not too sure about the windshield though.... but the bottom windshield trail mount is already on. Thanks to Ronald, he had them put on before i bought the car. the wheels are nice....thanks, they are 17". don't really know what make or brand it is though. Again, thanks for your advice so far. I really appreciate all the help and guidence that everyone can give.

Appears to be CMC (they bought FiberFab in 1990)? I chuckled when I saw get it on the road in 2 months but guess if deep pockets and can farm out effort you'll be good to go. Before painting - I'd especially get the windshield trial mounted since often time the area in front of the windshield needs to be built up considerably. Also ensure no stress cracks at bottom of door openings and the gap around doors and other openings is as you want it to be. Might need larger opening where the bumper mounts thru the body (and use a rubber gasket arount it). Don't spend all $ on paint and motor - you may want to go thru the suspension/brakes and even the transaxel before strapping a more powerful engine in.
