Is anyone familiar with the attachment details of the handle on the front of the hood? I believe there are two nuts securing the end closest to the windshield, but I am not sure how the end where the emblem/crest is attached is secured. I am wanting to replace the emblem/shield and need to remove the handle to access the nut on the back of the shield/emblem. Thanks.

Dan, use a socket and remove the two nuts on the hood. Then, gently lift the rear of the handle until the studs are out of the hood and carefully slide the handle forward. The studs at the thin end of the handle can scratch the paint if you are not careful. An IM crest bolts to the handle and a porsche crest has a push "nut" on a stud. If you are putting on the porsche crest, you might want to use a little dab of clear silicon under it. When you reinstall the nuts, it is easier if you put some paper towel in the socket before laying the nut in the socket. I have found that keeping the hood closer to horizontal will lessen the chance of dropping a nut into the inner hood. You will never get a lost nut out. Good Luck
