Rich, please pass the Grey Poupon:) The neat thing about the Roadster is that it's a fine ride with the top up. I am driving illegally so I don't want to look like I am having too much fun. My Cali comment was because Sandy was miserable and that made the trip hard. She gets vertigo so the wind and the constant elevation changes are tough for her. Oh well, I will probably snow bird to SC or FL when we get older.
I volunteered to go with the local car club to a February show a few years back in Aiken, SC, just across the river from Augusta, GA, where the Masters Golf Show is held. We left at 6am for a 2-1/2 hour drive and breakfast along the way to get there by 9am. It was a balmy 32F when we left. Pearl has no heat. None. Still, with a leather bomber jacket and some thinsulate gloves and my "Roots" toque, it was a nice drive. Beautiful town, Aiken - it was the "horse country" home to many early industrialists and is now a college town.

I took the Roadster over to Euroquipe so they can take a peek. These guys are certified mechanics for Porsche, Lamborghini & Ferrari. They had an original 72 or 73 911 RS with racing pedagree. He said it was a 350k car. Anyway the were very impressed with the Intermeccanica. Kept asking who did the coach work? Started it up and they were both looking at eachother and said "wow, it even sounds right". It was impressive to here guys that work on $250,000 cars excited about my car.
