I have a beck with standard 4lug hubs.does anyone sell a conversion kit with everything (hubs/discs/aluminum covers)?

Do a search here on "wide 5 conversion" to get started
thanks wolfgang
An example would be these kits from CB Performance:
Front

Rear (IRS, but they have Swing Axle too)

thanks for that helpful info!you guys are the best!
The linked front wide five kit will NOT work on a Beck. You need a zero offset disc brake kit, both front and rear. You also need new spindles, custom brake lines, new e-brake cables, e-brake tube extensions, to name a few. You also need to know if you have long axles or short axles. You also need to know if you have current rear discs or rear drums, and if you have rear drums, then the type of exhaust system will also come to play i.e. if you have a sidewinder exhaust and rear drums, then rear discs may not fit due to the muffler.
We are the only place ion the world that will have "everything" since some of the parts are custom made specifically for a Beck. Even then, there are still a few items that need custom fit to your car by you. i.e. e-brake cables need cut to length and swedged on the caliper end.

*gulp*
That sounds expensive. As a relative new member on the scene. How much of the above information is the same for an IM / CMC? Are they simpler?
Thanks for sharing your wealth of info! (seriously)
Ted
Unless you have older swing axle trans in a CMC/FF (suspect same on early pan IM since same body mold) you will not have room in fender well to increase track with IRS rear pan. I like look of wide five BUT they can get costly and frustrating real fast plus it greatly limits selection of rims.

I love this place. I learn so much here.
Thanks!

Funny, Greg! What other rims would you want to use with wide5 other than steelies?
I prefer light alloy wheels over steel ones. Know there are costly Bevins or Technomagnesio wheels that look like the steel wheels (like Marty got) available but only a few one could afford without trip to Tiffany's for wife. Even wider steel ones would most likely be custom.
Oooohh...I like the black spoked ones! Pretty!

The black ones just empi wide 5, 5 spokes.
That sky blue IM from Santa Cruz had them, painted Gulf Orange.
They don't look 'right' on a speedster.
Just my dos pesos,
Ted
Like I said, wide5 steelies or Bivens aluminum that look like steelies. Otherwise, why bother to do wide5? Other better looking options out there than wide5 especially 5 X 130 Porsche pattern. I love my wide5 Mangels(powdercoated) on my Spyder. Anything else just doesn't cut the turd/mustard!
The wide 5 fake Fuchs with VW Wolfsburg crest is interesting but like Danny said why would you go wide for that look. Yet to see any Speedsters (other than Steve McQueens and one below) with the Rudge knock offs.
CIP1 has a pretty good looking replica Fuch with a wide 5 pattern. They say the design is exclusive to them and comes in the three options, chromed, polished, polished with black spokes.
My well documented problem is that I have wide 5 drums on the back and 4 lug discs on the front with a pair of very healthy wide 5 adapters.
I am running chrome wide 5 5x15 mangels and I am seeking a different look. My adapters have lugs/nuts that protrude beyond the face of the adapter coming from the brakes and preclude going to drumskins and steelies or probably anything else than what I have with hubcaps unless I either switch to a new front disc system, find/fabricate a new adapter or drill out the adapters I have and go with shorter lugs and countersunk nuts that are collectively, flush with the face of the adapter itself.
I am concerned with the connection between the brake and the adapter if I have it modified, and, hence the wheel itself if I go that route.
I have flung a pretty wide net looking for a solution (Airkeweld, couldn't help and CIP1, waiting for a response, etc.) that doesn't require a brake swap.
Bob, just suck it up and sell your retro-encabulator!
Then go out and buy some wide5 discs cheapskate!
Off topic: I'd love to know the story behind those two bang'd up speedsters.
OMG!?!

The upside is that nobody was hurt, 'cept maybe the driver from 'bullet transportation'.

I believe that is a photo of the cleanup after a train wreck, yes, an actual train wreck!

T- This happened at an annual Porsche event at Ventura Fairgrounds (SoCal). Trailer carrying cars (from European Collectibles, a Porsche restoration shop) gets high-centered on train tracks. Here is a link for more info.

Gut-wrenching to say the least!
