Just in case any one else might be looking for some, these are being advertised on eBay.  The price seemed reasonably so a couple of days ago I bought a set for my Outlaw.  They fit very well and the seller still has about 10 pair left.

Fog light covers

Haven't made up my mind yet but I may paint a checker board pattern on the covers I bought - similar to the rendering below.

           Too cool?

Nice score, Cliff! That is a pretty good price for those covers.

I used a checkerboard pattern for my light covers. I ordered a couple of custom checkerboard decals from this company https://www.decalboy.com as well as the red Pegasus decals for my car. Decent price and quick turn-around (1 week).

Here's a visual of the decals... (click on pic to enlarge).

Jim,

Until seeing yours I had only seen checkerboard fog light covers used on cars in Europe.

Thanks for the great tip on the custom made decals.  They would be perfect for a set of clip-on covers like the ones you use on your car.  Maybe I can find a set that will fit the 5" wide lights on my car?

By the way, I really like your car. Sharp, very classy looking and by now probably a Southern California highway legend.   Those Fuchs wheels are a knock-out!

Bob, isn't there a shop where you can get Xpel film cut and put on those lights.  They use that now to prevent broken lights as well.  FYI only... Ray

El Guapo, I like the checkered look it is very 60's but I kept forgetting to take them off at night so if I covered my lamps I would use Xpel they will cut it and fit it for you. easy peasy,

I'll look in to that, Ray.

Really, covers only protect when they are on.  The lights can get broken at night with the covers off.

I bought a couple of spare lights a while ago just in case, but I won't do a switch until the cracked one fails to work.

What about getting plexiglass cut out for the lens and cover that with Xpel to keep the plexiglass from getting road rash. Replace the Xpel as needed?

I'll have to do something.  These cars seem to collect dings and road rash like crazy, and I deliberately do not tail gate just for that reason.  I always leave space between the next car and mine and I avoid trucks like the plague...

Just stay above the 401 between 5th Concession and 25th....you don't see many cars at all

I guess I find it too much work to have a bra for my car, put it on only when it is clean... as well as covers for the fog lights so I Xpelled filmed the whole front of my car essentially , and if I was worried about the lights breaking I would do those too... I just have not gotten around to it.

I want to take the ElGuapo road... drive drive drive let it drive....

Bob I agree, these cars are just magnets for road rash. I had Expel installed on my car last summer and it is pretty amazing stuff, and makes bug cleanup a breeze.
