Gentlmen!

Recently took a short road trip to Cambria, CA. on HWY 1.- 549 Miles

I live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Central California. On the way I stopped at the James Dean Memorial, and visited several of the Wineries along the way - "Good Wine's"

The weather was Brilliant Speedster Cruzing Weather - High 70's and Sunny.

Just installed a new set of 44IDF's and decided to test them out! What a Wonderful Carburator compared to my Worn Out Dell's!

Met along the way Several Cobra Recreations all giving "Thumbs-up" and like most of you driving your Speedster, drew alott of attention and positive comments regarding my Speedster.

Came upon a Model T Ford Club on HWY 1 and chatted with them. One Chap had a 1914 Model T and his car sitting next to mine made my car's engineering appear to be "Starship-Like."

If you have never driven along HWY 1 with your Speedsters Top Down - You are truly missing a part of life You need to experience!

Gas Prices in Cambria, CA. was $3.69 Per Gallon - Glad the Speedster gets good Gas Mileage!

Returned back to the Sierra Nevadas on HWY 46 Cross Country and that road is Brilliant as well; sweeping curves and smooth pavement - Good Stuff!

The Car got 27 MPG Going and 29 MPG on the Return Route. I could have probably get better Mileage but as you know its hard to "Keep Your Foot out of It!"

If you are ever in the Central San Joaquin Valley or are planning on visiting the James Dean Memorial, give me a email and I'll help you with information regarding lodging in the area. The Memorial is roughly 2 hours from my location.

Hey Jack
I also live in Central California (Visalia) and was going to do that same trip last Summer but never got around to it. I need to go over there and have some abalone. My brother-in-law and I have the only two Speedsters here in Visalia and cruise all over the foot hills.
Next year I think we are going to leave here and go to Morro Bay about 1-1/2 hour drive. Then head north up Highway 1 past Big Sur, through the 17 mile drive then on to Montery. Then head inland and back home. Should be an all day ride unless we decide to stay all night in Montery.
