The Mille meatballs would be enough to lead me to believe it’s real. But I did have reservations about that.
Just based on the photos, the proportions appear to be more stretched than that of the real 550. And it appears much lower. Now that can be attributed to (2) people being in the car, and it’s set up…..but all the real ones I’ve seen (even with two people) tend to have a higher stance.
The rear clam appears more accurate than the replicas. Aligning with that of real 550’s.

This picture always gets me thinking how different each original 550 Spyder can be.
4 Porsches, but only 2 cars.

Ah, my misspent youth. M50s on 10" Cragar SSs. Header mufflers with blown glass-packs and no tail-pipes. Jenson cassette deck with Foghat, Zeplin, and Van Halen cranked up through 6x9 coaxials. No A/C. Giant single-plane manifold. Holly double pumper. Traction bars in the back.

We were the kings of the street... until we came across somebody who really knew what they were doing. I learned the power of a well executed combo when I watched a 4-dr Ventura with bench seats and a nicely built 400/T400 pull my friend's 6.6 Trans Am equipped with headers, a cam, and a T10 4-sp.

Tim Dresde had a nose trending SW/NE, and a jaw listing due west from the rest of his face (the result of being a white racist in a predominately black HS in St. Louis) - but he could build an engine, and that was a fact.

Astounding it was.
