CMC speedster kit car is red with tan interior. The car was originialy built in California and then put on a truck and shipped to Florida the husband died and then it was puit on a truck and shipped back to California where it has sat in a garage since 95. The car only has 1745 miles on the speedo. The little car has had the carbs rebuilt the fuel lines replaced and a new battery. It does have trouble starting it seems like the ignition or the cable from the battery to the starter is corroded or something, if I was a mechanic I would fix it but alas I am not. The car has some scratches on the body from sitting in the garage for all of these years. It has a bra, tonneau, which needs the snaps extended to the dash so it can fully close the car off (which I have ordered) and a soft top that has never been on the car, it needs the bracket that fits on both sides so the top braces fit into it. The owner had replaced the standard gear shift with the button one that lets you go into reverse without pushing down and back (the mechanic said he replaced a plate in the shifter so car didn't go into reverse while you were going forward) The rubber around the tail lights is brittle and around the headlights. The windshield looks OK. The interior is plain and looks like it would need replacing all except the seats they are OK. I have a hood handle, dask pad in vinyl, side mldgs and bottom side reveal moldings that need to be put on the car. It has no bumpers front or rear.
The car was built on a VW pan and has dual carbs othe than that I can't tell you anything about it except it was titled as a 1980 VW.
