Well, I last posted 2/2/16 asking for some suggestions on interior colors for the upcoming overhaul of our 58 CMC Speedster C. I thank everyone for the suggestions. We bought the car in 1996 from a gentleman who had owned it since 1992 and had the kit stored in his garage. He decided to bail out and sold it to us just as he received it from CMC. So after building it(finished in 1998 working only in the summer months) and driving it all these years its time for a change. I contacted Kirk and Cathy at Vintage Speedsters and purchased their complete interior vinyl kit in Wine Red including new seats, gray carpet, Ivory Banjo steering wheel, Black Stafast Tonneau cover, Ivory knobs, switches and Freeway flyer transaxle. The seats and panels are gorgeous. I bought new VDO gauges from Special Edition, 550 Spyder mirror and flying Pegasus decals from Fibersteel and rubber pieces from International Mercantile. Once all components are removed from the body it is going to a local auto collision shop where my wife works for Silver paint. We hope to have it finished in May( Western New York weather permitting) I'm working in a unheated garage).

The re-birth of a road Queen - I love it!
Great work Roy!
EXCELLENT! Full speed ahead, Roy! Best of luck & success with your Speedster endeavor!
That sounds like an awesome combination. Good luck!
Sounds like you have it all in order ( pun) Come to Carlisle !
Roy, looking forward to seeing pictures as you go along this great venture.
Yes, please post some pictures of your progress!
Roy, I have a similar story as you, I think it takes a couple of "owners" to complete the 40 hour project. I am just east of you outside of Rochester, maybe we can compare our war stories. My story ended with Dr Clock finishing my CMC - C, smart move for me!
Enjoy the ride.
