Ok so I thought I had record for longest build. NOT MINE. Listed on SAMBA. An unmolested '62 Piranah kit car as featured in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Add VW motor for land and a Mercury OB to back and go anywhere. A unique classic - gotta one of first kit cars for VW? In NJ now but willing to deliver to CA - or so ad says. Sure would make a "futuristic" electric car - lots of flat area for solar collection panels.

Check out the rear engine cover. Is that 2 CMC hibachi grilles? Lots of room for car badges there. For some reason this car just screams "ALAN, ALAN, ALAN!"
Futuristic in 1962 = really ugly in 2014. Somewhere along the 52 year time line there was a major paradigm shift.
