If you kids didn't know, the Audi Fox (from way back when, before it was a VW Fox) came with black faced green numeral gauges. I scored a couple of sets, just in case.

Here's a pic or two.

Of course, they'd need a bit of fitting to work in the dash, but for a custom build with some nostalgia and modern touches combined, they'd be perf ! !

Just a though/alternative to the 914 offerings.

Oh, and here's a pic or two of my Pre-A dash with a combination of 914/911/928 gauges in it. Not too terrible either.

Just a few pics, just in case anyone's wondering how 914 gauges might look.
IMHO They are worth maybe $50. Bezels are rusted so assume water got inside too. I do like the old silver button ones since they have glass vs. plastic lenses on later ones. Missing the trip reset cable too (hard to come by). I got a bunch off the 914 Forum for winter restoration for lot less.

TC - will Fox gauges mount in another VDO case - like the 914 combo gauge one? Super job on your dash - very clean look.
I know . . . I've sort of just let the woods beside and behind the house take over, haven't I?

Now it's creeping up to the back deck and reflecting in the gauges for crying out loud. I sort of like the "little house in the forest" feel to the place and it makes for a wonderful Winter Wonderland. This pic is eight years old, it's WAY worse now, I can't even see out of the front windows anymore!
