You have an early Automobili Intermeccanica, not to be confused with Intermeccanica International. You are right, it is basically a CMC.
During 1976–1979, Automobili Intermeccanica was formed in partnership between Frank Reisner and Tony Baumgartner in Santa Ana, California, to build Speedsters. About 600 Speedsters were constructed. Baumgartner bought out Reisner's 50% share of Automobili Intermeccanica and later sold the Speedster project and equipment to Classic Motor Carriages in Florida.

The car is not mine … they offer me the car…
can be a good quality construction car ?
value ?
thanks
I kind of doubt someone found a spare set of IM hinges (but possible). Early IM's used the same cast engine grill as CMC. Most used 914 gauges (according to IM Prancing Bull book). CMC offered Vintage gauges but at a high extra cost for their value (so most sold without). IM put a silver foil id sticker in the passenger's door opening BUT it often peeled off if repainted. I suspect a true early IM.

This early intermcanicca are they a good product? They want around 30k
I have the option to buy a vintage speedster and a jps too, around the price of 35k… the jps is 2100 the vintage 1600… any suggestions?
Looks like IM needs interior redone (seat vinyl cracked, carpets sun faded, vinyl top old). Engine? Any other upgrades like disc brakes, dellorto/weber carbs, freeway flyer transaxle? Looks like you'd be paying $5-10k for the IM name - for a 40+ year old car.
A thing is worth whatever a buyer and seller agree it's worth. In this upside down any which-way but loose world - maybe a worn out 45 year old repop of a 65 year old car is worth $30k.
I have no idea, but if what you have to spend is $30k (and no more) -- this might be all the car you're able to get at this moment. It seems though, like another $5000 and waiting a bit would buy more car. A LOT more car.
I'd personally keep looking, but I'm neither a buyer nor a seller.
