Does anyone need or know of someone how need a '73 914 box. Jake Raby himself says that these aren't the ones that you want to use for a ring gear swap . . . but what does he know.
And who cares anyway, I just want to sell it, I don't give a S**t what you're gonna do with it.
Ok, for real . . . . it's the side shift kind so you should never buy it with the intention of a ring gear flop, but it's a good trans for a 914. The side shift is a later year improvement over the earlier models. Check Jake's comments under 914 running gear in the "General" section.
It would be kind of too much to ship, so a local buy is best, OR a hand-off. From one to another to another until it get's to you.
