I should consider selling mine and use the money to buy a brand new base Boxster!
I hope it was a CMC Speedster!
all it takes is "2" deep pocket warriors.... i have $70K in my pocket just a phone call away...i actually have 5 serious guys that want my car....no auction needed..still NOT FOR SALE...today?... i too could sell and get a REAL DEAL (potential $$$$pit) car...but i already have what i've always wanted....that said...EVERYTHING is for sale...when you hear that totally SILLY $$$ amount number, you almost have to take it just IMHO
That's not the record Jesse and the one that is currently running on BAT will break the $83,000 record set earlier this year. Mark my words!

And go figure, there’s a (nearly identical black/grey) early Vintage that’s been languishing at $10K since it was listed. It will be interesting to see what it brings when the hammer drops.
.....and I got a paltry $50k for an outlaw with a stellar chassis with all the bells and whistles but didn't have the pedigree brand name go figure.

Well, I guess that was a costly lesson for sure.
That’s an unreal level of disposable income
The people who have money have so much money it's not something normal people can fathom anymore.
I read something once that Bezos could single-handedly end world hunger and still have 75% of his fortune intact. There are probably others. Kind of makes you wonder why they don’t, doesn’t it?
I don't think that maths out.
Alan Merklin If you can get $30,000 for go cart, maybe $80,000 for a nice speedster isn't crazy anymore!! jncspyder also hit the nail on the head .Two guys with unlimited cash at an auction and whos knows what will happen.
I heard something once that Jeff Bezos kills baby seals and kittens in his basement with a club made of elephant tusks, while wearing manatee-skin shoes and a tiger-fur cape. That might not be right, but I hate him anyhow (just because).
Makes you wonder why we keep talking about politics here, doesn't it?
DIVOC anyone

Doesn't he also run a pedophile prostitution ring out of the basement of a pizza parlor? Oh, wait, that was someone else. Conspiracy theories are so confusing!
I blame extraterrestrials.
I blame economic policymakers.
Here's a graph of US household income, from poorest to richest using the height of the stack of Benjamins for each percentile to represent their annual income along a 100 yard course. You have to zoom in for the detail. It's from 2014; things are a bit more skewed today. Here's the 50 yard line, the stack is $55,000.

The older one ended up at $39K, which is probably fair.
in (un)related news: A 67 911S soft-window targa hammered at $248K today.
