Beautiful Car!!
Welcome to the Madness we call Speedster Ownership, and wow, great color combo! I love the Alloys and the stance. VW pan or custom chassis? Discs or drums? swingaxle or irs? What's the engine going to be- if type 1, size? heads? cam/rockers? intake and exhaust? compression ratio? If Beetle trans- ring and pinion ratio? (I'm an old VW nut and I'm trying to guess how fast it will be) Sorry, I'm a detail guy- I have to know EVERYTHING! Al
Very nice! Cool car.....
Is this a real Speedster? Looks like it to me.
Low/square center hump, OE steering wheel and dash, articulating top frame, oil filter visible through grille, etc...
Did you swap to 356C brakes, or are they aftermarket 5 x 130?
Yes, built Dec 1954
Beautiful car.
Welcome, but you know this is a replica website, correct?
I think you have a great looking car. The plaid seat inserts are pretty cool.
Beautiful car, congrats!!

Not true, as stated by the website mission statement….
Okay. How many owners of 'real' 356s do we have here as members?
One? Most pop in, realize their mistake, and head for more compatible sites.
I do like real speedsters, but I wouldn't trade.
My friend Aaron in Arizona has a real 356 coupe as well as a Thunder Ranch 550. He hangs out here once in a while, on Spyderclub and on the replica FB sites.
So that makes two?
Sorry LeadPedal.
Didn't mean to offend.

No worries, I have a Beck myself. I gave up on building a real speedster once the prices shot to the moon. I have a completely rebuilt 1957 Porsche speedster engine that I was saving for that day when I found at least a decent engineless coupe sitting in someone’s garage for a fair price, but that train has left the station. Maybe I will put it in my Beck this summer 😎
Real Speedster, aftermarket wheels? Gorgeous ride!
There are several original speedsters here. I know of 2 owners that have both replicas and originals. Replicas for driving, originals for fun.
