Check the bushing at the end of the shifter...it often wears and then its hard to shift accurately.

To set the linkage is pretty easy. Just take of the inspection plate where the linkage connects to the trans. There a U joint there. You can undo the bolt that tightens it up to the linkage and then adjust it and tighten up again. But I'd check that bushing first...I've ahd two 901 trans and both had that bushing gone.

I think I'll check my bushings. Hey Brian, what tranny oil are you using in your 901? I've got synthetic in mine, but I'm wondering if I should switch to Swepco 201. Very little leakage from the motor and tranny (in my 911 pickup).
