You have to wear the proper driving shoes that came with the pedal.
Yeah it's dead pedal. I'll check and see the brand. Works great.
Do those come in a solid brown?
That is certainly one gigantic dead pedal...are your feet both the same size?
It's OMP brand and I bought the four pedals from Stoddard if I recall.
The surface of the rest is about the size of a 7 1/2 men's shoe.
I wear 9 1/2 driving shoes and don't have a problem with space around the pedals. My car is a irk era VS.
I have constantly sore feet and I find that resting my foot on it and occasionally pressing to push myself back in the seat works fine

My feet are the same size. Unfortunately, one of them is often in my mouth.
It really is an outlaw car and outlandish pedal, I guess it fits the plastic clown car moniker.

For the archives, can you take and share a photo taken from the side that shows how the lid sits on the body when fully open?
Sorry Jon T. I forgot about this
Here is the lid open from the side. I am keeping a towel under it when open, but frankly, I don't think it's necessary. Besides, I can take the whole thing off in about 2 minutes. No big deal.

Nicely done, Bob!
Bob, that is NICE! I love it. MUCH easier to work on, and looks cool too!
Thanks DannyP. (The Dellorto's you rebuilt for me continue to work really well!)
Thanks JMM!

These, or very similar hinges are available from GT Racing in Colorado Springs.

Suddenly, West Marine hinge pricing looks very attractive.....

Nice! Less bulky than mine. However, I can pull the two retaining pins on mine and have the lid off in just a couple of minutes. Gives me even more room to work in the engine bay.
