Might be easier to just trade the electric drive 911 speedo for a cable drive 911 or 912 speedo. 914 is also cable drive.

I usually run to these guys:

They have wiring diagrams that can be looked at for free and usually downloaded as well. They also have a top notch forum which, naturally, covers all things electrical.
Do you have the info on the year and model that the speedo came out of? You'll need it to secure an accurate diagram or even ask a precise question. The later cars ran with sensors withing the trans, I imagine that the mid year cars had the transition piece that you have disconnected there, the earlier ran with cables alone.
Worst case, if nobody can help out, sell it off on the Pelican Forums or trade it for a 914 unit. If you're in love with the look, swap the internals from a 914 into the case and use the gauge face that you already have.
