That's awesome!
I think it looks a bit weird.
Except for the oddly place chrome strip on the side, I like it.
It almost looks good, but there is just something 'off' about it. I applaud the work that was done on it, though.
Looks a bit like this custom IM Roadster w/o roll up windows:
Excuse my ignorance and lack of historical perspective, but isn't (wasn't) this IM on eBay here Henry's personal daily driver at one time or another?
Except for the oddly placed remark by Lane, I like it. It is very smooth looking. It is both a 911 and a 356 Speedster, all at once -?- Worth $30K + shipping?? Maybe . . .
I kind of liked it too - looked like a pretty clean design - and apparently it sold - so someone valued it at $30K or so........RickJ
well executed............I like.
I like everything about it.
$30K seems like a steal when you factor in the amount of work he did to get that profile in the back. He didn't just chop the top off a 911 and call it good-- that's the problem with the '89 and '94 911 speedsters: they have a "bustle" in the butt, which makes them look fugly to my eye. He did a major amount of metal-work to get that profile.
This one is low and clean, like the difference between a 356 Cabriolet and a speedster. I even like the side trim.
Really, really nice.

It was. I think it looks a bit weird too.
