Stripping away sheet metal panels and bulkheads and cleanly replacing them with reinforcing tubes. A neat partial tube frame, mid-engine Porsche platform.

Of course, it's the length of a stock 914 or Beetle (approx. 80 inches) but a Speedster body could be artfully lengthened and fitted with a styled hard top, or the uni-body shortened. A coupe version of the Spyder done in the long body style of some Porsche racing cars would look killer.

Just a little food for thought.
