does any body know of the easy way to put a new throttle cable in a 914 its been converted to carbs, old cable came out easy cause it was broken, new cable only goes in about a foot them binds ? bill
Assuming the tube / housing is undamaged and the new cable ends match the old, or are smaller, You will probably need to pull the new cable in, rather than push...... An old electricians trick..... Tie a long string to a small piece of rag. Using a vacuum cleaner, suck the "mouse" through the tube.... You can now use the string to pull the new cable....
I've used this on tubing down to 1/4 in. dia. Good luck...
