I  am once again going to expose my lack of knowlege here. I understand from reviewing some correspondence from the prior owner of my car that he is certain that bore on my engine is 94 and the stroke is 76. When I looked in the knowledge section to confirm that that equates to a 2110 cc engine, the chart shows a 94 bore but skips over a 76 stroke, showing 74 and 78 stroke categories.

So what does a 94 bore / 76 stroke engine equate to in terms of cc's?

Thanks in advance for a knowlegeable response.

you can get to a cc by diferent methods, long stroke small bore big bore short stroke, med stroke&med bore.just going by the cc dosent always tell the tail. like my 1874cc.87 bore by 78.8 stroke. or my 2028 same basic motor but 90.5bore.and not all cranks are what they say they are, I have 2 78 mm stroke cranks, but 1 is 78.4 and the other is 78.8 not much different, but it does make a change in size&other aspects of the build.and about 10 cc's.

scat, bugpack ,empi they all have it in thier catalogs.the scat cat has it up to 3048cc,but you can go biger. or you can go to CB preformance's site and use thier engine calculator & punch in what you want & you can figure cr,cc,deck, etc.

if you figure out exzactly what you need the first time it saves on shippen, and have who ever you get the crank from ballance it(flywheel too) then it's usualy just a few things to get like cylinder shims after you find out exzactly what your stack up is& what you want then get the shims., but you need to figure everything as close as possiable so you can get the right cc heads for the cr to be where it needs to be. for me it's easy, I set pretty much everything up at zero deck&use a .040"(1mm) copper head gadget for clearance.but some heads have a step in them so that has to be addressed also to keep the quench down to .035-.045"(piston to head clearance)more than that and you are loosing a good amount of torque, power, mpg, clean chambers, happy engine.

The 76x94 combo isn't really popular because people usually buy 78mm cranks instead (why go with the smaller unit when you can have 2mm more stroke..). That said, it is a perfectly viable combination, and a 2110 is certainly big enough to make great power, no matter what the bore/stroke combo. It's actually a better way of doing it (for that size motor) because the 94mm bore won't shroud a 44mm intake valve (and interrupt flow) in a higher revving motor like the 90.5 barrel will.

the 78 will need a long rod or shorten the cylinders.so just go with 82 stroke.the 76 also needs a longer rod, or "A" pistons&a pile of cylinder shims. the shrouding wont affect a street car unless your spining it up to 7000Pluss rpm,you can also use a 42 mmvalve(witch I have in my 90.5 x78.8 motor) it's just like realastate, combo, combo, combo.
