It takes the same windshield and frame as the FF/CMC Speedster did (unless it has the wind up window option - which is different). Also try MG Magic for parts (out of Hollywood FL - do search here). They bought up CMC parts when they went out of business 20+ years ago. I'm guessing door and rear trunk lid are about only body parts shared. Believe DrClock uses ones from VS if the CMC one has been lost. Check shops tap for trim - I like Klasse356 (Stoddard). Chassis, suspension and engine parts are most likely all VW T1 - so try CIP1 or host of others. Post up pictures of your 959 (I'm assuming it's the CMC creation). Most here either love or hate them - never in between. Never seen one in person but I like the rendition.
Pictures? - if you aren't a $36/yr contributor then pictures have to be small (byte sized) and you can't store but so many. Well worth the $36 for info gleaned from this site. Just click on registry and yopur name then photos and add them.

I suspect the CMC build manual at the Library tab will work for your car too. Do you have a specific 959 one?
I did Alan Thanks, I actually tacked it then set the body on bolted it completely together and i am going to put it on the lift at my friends shop and weld the bottom then remove the body and finish welding the tunnel. Figured a lot of work but i will def have it perfectly straight, Im very suprised how strong it is just from being bolted up. Oh and btw the pan only had to be shortened 5 1/4 inches instead of the 10 inches ive seen for the 356's, I measured the subframe under the car prob 100 times before i decided to cut the pan. But once cut it fit the body perfectly. Some busted knuckles lots of sweat blood and greese but extremely excited about having a rolling car right now. As they say everything else is down hill from here.
You really need to post up some pictures. I'd swear the 959 looks just like a CMC Speedster body with doo-dads added. Could the doors be 5" longer (Speedster's are 43")? But if the key 2 (either side) front mounting holes and the rear single (either side) ones (infront of shock tower) line up and wheels are centered in openings its got to be right length. (These are in circled area of build manual page linked to below). CMC build manual says 58.5" for Speedster on these.

Yea i was kinda scared to cut up my pan since it was brand new from the beam to the floors to the pedals, trailing arms everything. so i made sure to measure the mounting holes the four up front 2 on each side in front of the pedals and passenger floor, and there were 4 bolts in the back, 2 by the shock towers and 2 by the torsion caps. Once measured and cut all the holes line up perfectly, But yea only cut out 5 inches.. I was also thinking it was a 356 with some extra body mods but guess not. Im hoping some 356 parts fit like the windsheild and convertable top. everything else i can fab up. Ill post some pics tonight.
