Alan, Alan! Now that's cool - Looks like they welded in the shift tunnel from a 911 with a 911 5 speed shifter. That would be a fun Chicago winter build. The engine bay is much larger in 359. Could easily accommodate a 6 cyl Subbie and 901 5 speed --- or better yet AWD Subbie under-pinnings. I'd add a hard top with flip up gull wing side curtains (a la Bradly GT).

I actually bought an unassembled speedster project from this seller back in 2005...
The guy has the neatest store front with rooms full of stuff he resells he has a unique nose for what is worth a buck and must buy dirt cheap...He makes enough that he makes a living at it. However that 959 is fuggly
Never cared for the look of a 959, especially a convertible 959. To me it just screams 'kit car'.
