Alan . . . that is SO SWEET !

A great combination of old, new, traditional, and hot rod. It must have been a ball designing the car.

I especially LOVE how the red painted blinker housing/steering head, white steering wheel and over-all dash design (with chromed Ol' Skool gauge plinth) come together in a way reminiscent of a '53/'54 Corvette, or maybe a '55 T-Bird.

Just a wonderful piece of design and execution all around ! ! ! ! !
"Chroming is outa $ight"

BOY! You've got THAT right!! I stopped by Nu-Chrome in Massachusetts over Christmas and they've almost quadrupled their prices since I had my Nerf bars done, mostly due to ever stricter EPA regs about chemicals used and emission control from the process (not to mention ever rising prices for metals and process chemicals used).

They were telling me that most chromers and platers have gone belly up in the past five years because they can't compete with Asia, China and Turkey (don't know how they got in the mix) where there is no EPA and they use all the old, cheaper chemicals and processes.

That's why the car manufacturers have gone to polished Stainless Steel or other non-rusting base metals.

Alan,

Here is a link (with picture) to the knobs that Daniel was talking about:

They really ARE perfect, they come in a brushed finish, but just check them into a drill and hit them with some Mothers at a slow RPM and done.

Polished aluminum is gonna give a shiny, soft, finish that's much nicer than chrome anyway.
Her name is Candy and Ziggy has a sweet tooth tonite. Alan It turned out well. Is this the car you changed the trunk in with the patterns i sent you made from chrismas wrap paper?. I also like the are rams intakes in front of the rear wheel wells you will be surprize how much that helps get air to the engine. mine on the Speedster D are hidden and scoop from the bottom The only probelm ther is they can get blocked by leaves in the grills, and i have to check them from time to time. but your s should stay clear alot easyer I like that. and the mini turn lamps
