While seeking answers to finding out about my gauges I stumbled upon a court case between CMC and Teleflex (original makers of their gauges) So--are you boarded or intrigued? Just sharing--no need to respond, chime in, rebuttal, etc. https://law.justia.com/cases/o...85/700-p-2d-677.html

I got lost in all the legal precedent arguments --- BLUF is that why CMC/Telex switched to labeling their gauges as VINTAGE? Wonder if it also influenced the odd size? I've never seen the VDO labelled 356-look gauges that CMC sold. Always assumed they were Brazilian replica that others were selling (until China started making them in later years).
Amazing how much blah blah the legal profession uses to say anything.
It seems to be that the real goal of the legal profession is to take a really simple concept and describe it with the most obfuscation possible.

Me neither; on most of the CMCs I’ve seen either the white ones or re-purposed 914 gauge sets.
Here's old (1990?) ad from Hot VW's for the Vintage gauges - "on sale" for $139 with senders. CMC listed them in the kit as a $325 option.
