I have to agree. Half the purpose of coming on these things, aside from listening to Gerd rag on Vince, is the right-seaters. A cute right is a good thing to have on these trips.

Scott.....just spoke with Kirk at VS about my shifter/linkage too. He suggested loosening the 2 allen bolts that hold the shifter flange to the trans-hump (inside the car)....move the shifter slightly in any direction it will go....tighten, then drive it....the plate may have moved and set the linkage out of line by 1/4" or so....that would be the easiest fix assuming you have the same set-up as my VS speedy. Also, check fluid (obviously...!)

It's cloudy right now on the Central Coast, with a 30% chance of rain tomorrow. Call me a wimp, but I have not spent the last 10 months and 10K to take may car out on wet highways to see if it leaks. I know you guys on the East Coast are laughing your ass off, but there are too many roads and too many nice days in my area to drive in the rain. I will make the final decision in the morning, but if I don't make it, here is the routing I was proposing.

From the library or where ever, go north to Moorpark. Take the 23 north to Fillmore, the 126 west to Santa Paula, the 150 north to Ojai and then the 33 south to Ventura. It should take about an hour and a half, if you don't stop.

Again, I really want to make this run, but there is system coming in. I just hope it doesn't get here until late Saturday or Sunday. Cross your fingers. No Vince, two fingers.

Warren, No worries, my wipers don't work and if it is going to rain, I'm staying by my fireplace....so, I agree with you...we have to many nice weekends to be driving in the slop....

Well, the IM is all polished up and waiting for the run...and Mama comes down with a bad case of the flu. Off to Dr. yesterday and she's in bed. Absolutely no consideration on her part! :)

It's sprinkling here in Seal Beach. Me thinks I've lost my co-pilot, Rhonda. She just learned I don't have a heater! We have her Christmas party on Sat night in Newport Beach and she has to attend. I usualy have some kind of adventure that takes me a little longer to get home so she said to have fun without her and good luck!

It is absolutely perfect weather here in Simi today...blue skies, no rain, puffy clouds, 65 degrees.....hoping it will hold through tomorrow..hate to have less SOCers to play with!!!

I'm downtown looking west from the 50th floor and see no clouds (smog/fog is another story). But no clouds and no rain.

Roland has me all dialed in and said a Simi valley cruze is no problem. I'm filled up,have spare clutch and throtle cables,a can of fix-o flat,new tires,new engine,new trans,bailing wire,duck tape,tools,spare qt of oil and AAA on speed dial!!!LETS ROLL!!!

It's 7:00 a.m. and it is raining here on the central coast. According to the forecast, it's not supposed to be raining until this afternoon. What do they know? The weather in the Simi area looks to be nothing but clouds. I hope that holds true for you guys. I guess I will be watching football and wishing I was tearing up the roads with you guys. Great cruze! Thanks Billy for putting up with us. Ojai was awwsome!! 80 derees and sunny. Too bad we couldn't find Warren.Well it was great to hang out with you guys and let my wife in on the Madness. I made it all the way home without a problem. Car ran great. Got to go to a party now

Well, the rain stopped and the pavement dried up, so Karen and I went off to try to find you guys. Sorry we didn't catch up, it would have been fun. We went over to Erik Erickson's looking for you and when no one was to be found, we headed for Santa Barbara for chowder at Brophy Bros. It was a good ride, but would have been better if we'd seen you guys. We just walked in the door, and trying to thaw out. One more glass of wine should do it.

The day started out wet, boo hoo, I'm calling my insurance company, my interior got wet.....

Thank you Billy for setting this up, You are no longer the new kid on the block, that now goes to Joseph, with his white CMC....Billy is selling his near new "wider than $hit" Vintage, and I gotta say somebody is going to be mighty happy with that big fella....

Drank way to much last night at a Leon Russell show and then at my Company "Xmas Party" so my morning was not only wet but also very sluggish...but all in all had a great day with the SOC bunch...

That Ronald Reagan was one collector of stuff. I think I saw a snot rag on one of the walls from 1982 when he had pnumonia...Personally I think he over induldged himself a bit with all the crap he had, but people like to go see it for some reason...

I must thank Gerd for contributing to the one vice I still entertain, no, he didn't rent me a hooker for an hour, better than that, a bottle of OBAN...he was in the Xmas spirit bringing gifts for everyone..or he just felt guilty for all the herassment he deals out on this site.
