A good shipping reference | 356 Speedster, 550 Spyder, Replica, Automotive Community

For those who will search for car shipping advice in the future, I would like to post a good reference for John Van Dam Trucking. John was a pleasure to deal with. I had my Speedster shipped from Las Vegas to Houston on the top of a covered transport truck for $1175. He regularly called me to let me know where he was, and actually showed up two days earlier than projected. I would definately use him again.

I might misunderstand this message, but my 912 was transported from Bridgeville (near Pittsburgh) to New York (by trailer) and sailed from New York to Rotterdam (Holland) for less than $1000.

I'm not sure about the cost of shipping items by boat, but that sounds like an amazing price. Most of the "cross country" shipments that I have seen for these cars range from $900-$1800.

Paid $2300 from Denver to Anchorage AK, it is cheaper to go the other direction. This was in an enclosed container, at least that's what they told me.
