imageimageimageimageOwing to yesterday's motor meltdown, I never made it to the mailbox. Today, through my tears, I saw, in the box, a little fun that I ordered a few weeks ago...

My car came with a 356 Registry decal, and I like the way it looks, so I didn't remove it. I never pass the car off as a real Porsche when asked about it -- kinda proud to see the look on the party's face when he learns it's a replica. I'm sure the sticker's sacrilege to the P-car community, but I guess all the badging must be, too!

I ordered the 1973 Monterey Porsche Parade sticker, and I love the touch of history it imparts!

Imagining a 16-year-old Speedster cruising 17-mile-drive in 1973 just warms my heart...

If you do an engine swap or an engine upgrade in an emissions equipped car you have to take it to get inspected and it has to have all of the necessary emissions equipment. After you get it inspected you get one of these stickers.  Not sure why someone would want to buy a reproduction of a legal document issued by the State of California? The only reason I could see would be a restored car that had one and now it is not going to be driven on the street anymore.

AASE Sales also has them and both places say they are for Porsches. I can't imagine the two places are doing anything illegal or someone from the BAR would have contacted them already.
