"is that a little scoop over the rear grill?"

Yes it is. There was a terrific article on that car in Excellence a while ago. The builder did some nice modifications to the body, Extending the rockers downwards for a lowered effect and splicing in metal between the rear fenders and body to fatten and square up the rear so the the wheel/tire combination would tuck under.

Major body re-working that still appears factory. Tough to do successfully.
I was SO looking forward to viewing that post, 14 pages of Outlaws ! ! Then I remembered that it was TheSamba, which essentially translates into either old blow hards or pre-schoolers,
and I was treated, once again, to that massively flawed posting procedure that includes all of the images from the previous post AND the new comment or topic.

14 pages with the images on the first four repeated over and again. A few new ones squeezed in, but if I see another pic of that ASS black speedster with the San Juan wheel treatment . . A a a a r r r g g g h h h ! !
Hey, speaking of Outlaws and eye candy . . . anyone think that they're man enough to run a set of these dash board knobs in their car?

I've been making them for the Ghia and 914 crowd because those cars usually run with the black rubber dash knobs, while a stock-styled Speedster looks it's best with the genuine 356 knobs.

If anyone is planning on using the rubber knobs and doesn't think that they'd be scared at night running some hand painted knobs from "Evil Intentions" . . . lemme know.

I'm also painting a few horn button inserts with two cartoon skeletal hands holding the Porsche crest. But these are WAY to scary for you boys . . . why they're even scarier that changing your oil, and I SEEN the kind of forum traffic that something as simple at THAT can generate. Best that you stay away from the horn buttons entirely.
