 Here is my VIntage Speedster. Only 1,015 original miles. It's was built in 2010 on a '70 pan.

Dammit Jim.  I nearly wet my pants with envy every time you post a photo of your black VS... cause mine's close...so very, very close. It seems to be just beyond my finger tips and pocketbook!

What size are those wheels?  and speaking of finger tips...how do you keep prints off the hood when closing it?  

Yeah, I think Jim pretty much nailed the whole "adding by deleting" thing and has one of the purest, cleanest, most elemental looking cars out there.  Nice job!

Jim:  Jus' a suggestion, but how about finding a pinstriper/letterer and get him/her to put this, maybe on one of the rear quarters (artfully done, of course):

Or maybe you could print it onto a piece of static vinyl to try out the look....

Michel / Cliff - Rear is lowered via adjustable trailing arms (these are standard install by Vintage Speedster). I lowered the rear (backing out allen-head bolt pointed out by arrow in pic) just until wheels had a very slight negative camber.

I also had Vintage Speedster install 2" drop spindles on front. The drop spindles add 5/8" additional track width (per side). I further tweaked the ride height via the adjust-a-drop on torsion housing.

To compliment the overall 'lowered' look, I had Vintage Speedster install replica Fuchs (with 5 x 130 Porsche bolt pattern). These cost only a few dollars more than the standard chrome wheels. These wheels are 15" x 5.5" with slight off-set to fit without tires rubbing fender wells. These wheels also fit over disc brakes, which I have at all 4 wheels. I fitted 185x60x15 tires for lower & wider tire. I don't fret over speedometer accuracy, I know when I'm over the speed limit. 

The replica Fuchs do not have the proper Porsche paint scheme so I had them re-finished at a wheel shop. Here is a before & after look of these replica Fuchs.

End result is this...

Nice ride Guapo! Mine is black with the exact same wheels.  That look just seems right on these cars.  From previous pics of your car I wondered about the wheels and whether they were an older original Fuchs or an older replica.  Now that I see the difference I'd like very much to get that same look.  What kind of place does one need to seek out to get that work done? 

Frank - I'm sure there are wheel shops in your area that can do this re-finish. Google 'wheel repair' or 'wheel polishing' for shops. Find one that has down repair on Porsche wheels so that you know they are familiar with the specs for Porsche Fuchs.

I think these wheels come from the vendor, deliberately inaccurate with the paint scheme because it may be Porsche proprietary. However, the casting, as thou can see, is dead-on copy of Porsche Fuchs. 

For future reference, in order to save paying  someone to polish the EMPI replica Fuchs on Jim's car. They also come in full polish.   This way you only have to pay to have someone paint the paddles.
