That looks like one of the ParkPlace cars from Washington. I modeled my silver outlaw after that one and then sold it for far less than I should have.

What a bargain. Those BJ buyers must really do their homework. Must be those $12,000 hood straps.
What's the buyers premium on top of that sales price, 8%, 10%? Wow! Nice car but I don't know that it is that nice.
Two years ago, as I recall, there were a lot of pretty nice Speedsters of various makes and origins available for $15k to $20k. That seems to have dried up considerably. Now it seems to be either wrecks or unobtainiums. May not be the case, but it seems like it.
John Leader's second JPS build was the benchmark for that particular Carrera:

Troy,
Loved that car you finished - best of all the ones you have had for sale in my opinion.
I will be copying much as I finish my project.

Very nice but it rides too high.
x2. An "outlaw" can only be an outlaw if it's in the weeds. That's why the mango-smoothie looks as great as it does, with minimal "outlaw" touches (it has a luggage rack, for cryin' in the night!). The hard part about all of this is getting a ride you can live with, and dropping the car enough to look low and mean.
Tell me about it, Stan.
There are some tricks you can do in this regard, Bob.
Mornin' Stan!
Looks like 2"-4" this side of the Illinois today. I'm too wussy to get into the garage today.
I'll just wait awhile and get out the thrower.
I'm not doing it again, Bob. Nobody can make me.
It takes more than one guy to clean the deck of the Kitty Hawk.
