Looks like Old Man's car. Long time SOCer.

That isn't Ray Armstrong's speedster.
He has a Beck and lives up Sacto way.
I have to give him a call. Great dude.

ray had no door handles and a big ass stinger out the back.

Ray also had a polished late air cooled fan. Don't remember if was a 993 or a 964 fan now.

I miss Ray. Ray is one cool dude.

I've seen this car a few times at the Monterey Pre-Historics in the parking lot. It is a nice machine, with perfect patina-outlaw look to it. I particularly like a decal on the windshield that says "Pleasure Point Night Fighters", a real grooup form back in the day of street rodder crazies in Santa Cruz.

PPNF has a rich history as a volunteer fire fighting club from the late 1890's, vigilante protection club for locals during Prohibition, when the city dudes from Santa Clara valley would come to the coast to party, to its modern incarnation as protectors of the ocean, known widely for their logo: Pack Your Trash. Pleasure Point is the area between Santa Cruz and Capitola, unincorporated, with few services provided by government until about the 1980's.

The members are my kind of people: incorrigible reprobates, as WC Fields would say.
