The moment we saw Mr. Bill wearing his goofy hat, we knew instantly that he would fit right in with our motley crew. He quickly proved to be a great person and a loyal friend. He was taken from us much too soon. We will miss you, Bill!

Thank you for the kind words. I had the great pleasure of riding with Roy's beautiful wife, Ondrea, while we toured on the Estrella Warbird Museum Cruise. Roy is a close friend of Bill's since childhood and we all shared some great laughs on that trip through Paso Robles and Moonstone Beach. Thanks, Roy, I hope our paths cross again someday.

Peace - Out!

1000x thanks jimbo. he will be truly missed. his "live in the moment" philosophy will always be remembered and emulated.

i have lost several friends to auto accidents and it never gets easier- in fact for me this time it has been harder because bill had so much life inside of him and it's hard to accept the fact we won't be able to get to know more of him. it was just last may we were cruisin' to newcombs to enjoy lunch and throw snowballs with his happy pooch barkley. we are thankful for the time we were able to share with him.

i know he is smiling down at us with that big grin. everytime i hop in the spyder and push that ignition, i'll remember that smile.

never met any of you guys, read all your posts, about mechanical problems ,showing of our cars, meeting new friends, but this video about ,,mr. bill,, shows me you are not just carnuts but you are a group of people i would also like to call my family, sorry that it had to be ,,mr.bills,,trip to the big autobahn in heaven, but i love you speedsterpeople, sincerly herbert hofer.
Jim,

That was a very touching video. You are a good friend for doing this.

Even though Bill was part of our group for only a short time, he was an integral member and a big-hearted person.
Bil definitely made us all better people for knowing him. I remember hanging out with Bill at the last VW show in Irvine, and he was one of the most genuine people I have ever met.
We will not be the same without him.

Our prayers are with Nancy, Bill's family, Gerd and Carol. Just let us know if there is anything you need.

Thanks for posting the pics Jim - I just downloaded them. I DO HAVE ONE QUESTION THOUGH - I definitely remember a couple of MAI-TAIS and BLOODY MARRIES being on the table - WTF - That must have been the before shot. Does anyone have an after pic that I may be able to add to my photo album or any other pics for that matter.

The one very important thing to remember about Bill is that he would have never wanted anyone to mourn him but remember him for who he was. Bill died very, very happy doing exactly what he wanted to do. I hope, when my time comes, I will be as lucky as he.
