About 80% of an original spyder for sale

Probably old news, but I noticed a new ad from Rusty Tubs, showing bits and pieces of a metal spyder.

I wonder if they have the title/VIN, as this could be a remotely affordable prospect.

Strangely interesting to me was the hole where the steering wheel/instrument plate goes. I presume this was cut away, but I don't know.

To reply to my own post, their fiberglass molds to the original Spyder diminisions also look slick.

Title on thse usually follow the frame I believe. SInce these are "just body parts removed from race cars" I would expect no title. Also, the owner of Rusty Tubs has been known to promise a lot and deliver a lot less. Or perhaps he could be described as overly optimistic on commit dates and the like....don't know that has anything to do with this offering....just be careful if someone decides to pursue this stuff....

I would be tempted to make a franken-car of half aluminum, half fiberglass, especially since their kit frame looks pretty spot-on.

The car featured is (This is the God's truth) the actual restoration-in-progress of James Dean's car. It was previously a jumble of metal that looked like a giant tin can that been squashed by a giant boot. The price is bargain-basement, and for a few extra bucks, you can even have the curse removed. :)

Is this another George Barris story?

Harry, would I lie? Hey, for even a few more bucks, they'll dig up Dean's remains and place it in the car for public viewing! :)
