I haven't put one in the spyder yet but I installed one in my 914 over the weekend. Thought it would be an easy way to add mp3 music to our cars without actually installing a radio. I left the stock 914 radio in place. Its a separate module that wires to the battery & the speakers/USB port are connected directly to the module. Sounds pretty good & I can actually hear the music with the top off & windows down. I know, I know, we all want to hear the engine sing, but sometimes you just need to crank up a great driving tune. The one I bought was made by Left Coast stereo. I've since found cheaper ones, but I know the left coast module is waterproof. A plus in the 914 which I think is about as watertight as the spyder.
