I agree with Dale, I'm sure when he is taking orders his cars will be excellent!!!!

Ron, do you half ass read these posts or what? I acknowledged the order for the first one, which is the prototype. I and others here don't count the prototype as taking orders yet. We didn't count it when SAW did it and were not counting it when IM does it.

I shouldn't bother even resoponding to you since, you make statements like my IM was bastardized, to try and explain things that were true on my car. I'm not sure if your trying to hoodwink other people or yourself.

When you make statements that are simply not true or are not based on fact, it questions everything you say.
So are you saying there was no prototype? Maybe I am confused? I thought John G's car was the first and the prototype, maybe I misunderstood.

I just went to the thread you said and here is a direct quote from that thread from John G.

"Many months ago Henry agreed to create a water cooled fuel injected 1.8 Turbo engined roadster as my build. I've only posted on the site a couple of times because we decided to keep the profile low until more facts we available on what he could do. It made sense for my car to be the first as I live in Vancouver and that meant he could keep a close watch on it to make sure he'd gotten everything just right. If you've met Henry you know how important that is to him and his brand."

Having a Bastardized IM probably made me unable to understand things in there proper IM perspective. But it sure seems to me that John believes his to be the first car.

Ron quite trying to defend a bad stupid nonsense position. You make stupid ass statements about my IM that have no basis in truth and you have zero experience with my IM so quit pretending like you know things that you don't.

"you just don't like it."

Nothing you have said is true, because you say things about my IM without a single ioata of information on the car.

BTW Ron where is it you live again and how much experience do you actually have running a VW engine in an IM in 100 degree heat. You speak as if from experience, but you have shown none.

And you are stupid *ucking crazy if you think I don't like the fact that IM is going to make a watercooled car. I think all of the watercooled designs are the future and the right decision for most buyers, I could care less if they buy a SAW or an IM, but to tell a guy that stop and go traffic in South Florida with an airconditioner on a VW engine is no problem is not being honest. Even GB always said it was a bad idea. In fact I will put in a link to what he says about this subject.

https://www.speedsterowners.com/knowledge/article.asp?id=139

Dead men tell no lies, and GB the author of the article new about as much about VW engines and IM cars as anyone and he thought it was a bad idea.
WOW Steven! Take a pill!

Yes you misunderstood Steven. I'll run through it again more clearly I hope. There is a watercooled prototype, and then there is John's car. Henry is building the prototype first, and then he is building John's car. John's car is not the first watercooled car that Henry is building. The first car is the prototype, and that car is not being sold to anyone (at least not at this time). John has placed an order for a watercooled car, but not for the prototype. He has placed an order for the second car, the first production watercooled IM. Is that clear enough?

Did you even read GB's post Steven? GB never said that A/C could not work in an air cooled car in hot climates, he just said he recommends against it. Where do you get this stuff?
Let me be clear also, I never said "it won't work" I in fact I thought my airconditioning on my IM was the best air of any car I have ever owned. But, it would definitely create extra load and at low engine fan rpm's would generate a noticeable increase in engine temperatures, that made me paranoid and uncomfortable so I didn't use it in those conditions. Hey if were talking about temperatures, 90 degrees and below it was a non issue, but you get up in the 100 degree mark it was definitely a problem.

David,
I think the VW bug example is interesting only in that it shows how much better a VW engine cools in a bug versus the speedster. This has been discussed at great length. I'm sure the bug had a fairly small CC engine which also helped to keep heat issues from becoming as much of a factor. Now as for the 2210 engine in Hawaii....I'm guessing it rarely sees 100 degree temperatures, and that it is also a fairly new engine, but this is totally a guess I my part.
