I have a 2015 Vintage Speedster and I want to buy aftermarket spark plug and coil-to-distributor wires to dress up the engine bay. Online VW supply companies list a lot of different versions and diameters. Anyone know which will work best in on a VS?

If it's a VW Type 1 engine, the vehicle doesn't matter. Some of the best wires are the Bosch 09 001 7mm silicone wires. The colored wires mike look better but most are of a lower quality.
Taylor spiral-wound 7mm silicone wires are pretty good, too. Made in USA.
They offer both mushroom plug ends as well as Ball Ends for VW cylinder shrouds - the Ball end is exactly as it sounds. There is a rubber half-ball on the plug end that "plugs" into the hole in the cylinder tin, thereby sealing tight against air leakage. Getting #1 and 3 on can be a pain. I goop them up with silicon spray and then pop them in, contorting myself around the engine opening in the process.
