Albeit brief. The clouds parted way in Charleston on sunday and I had a chance to get out and run the speedie around the neighbourhood. With a boost from the subbie and a gallon of gas, the speedie fired up on the second crank (after sitting idle for almost a year). I am posting in the newbie category, because that was the same feeling I had the first time I fired her up and drove her home. I got three miles down the road and it started raining. I had the full tonneau on and was considering saying "eff it" and driving it around the city anyways, but since I did not have a current license plate... I turned around and made it back home, just as it stopped raining. I used that time to inventory the garage and parts. I never realized how much I collected over the last five years. Felt good, looking forward to this weekend's ride before heading off to Birmingham and London next week to watch Aston Villa play.
Holding my new baby girl and driving the speedie again for the first time in a year... baby wins out, but it the drive was a close second.
