Air cleaners wanted

Does anybody have a set of the air cleaners that have the chrome mesh (punched holes) outside covers? I think they are Knecht brand? Need them for my Solex 40 carbs. If you know where I can get a nice set please contact me. Thanks,

I had to buy a second set for my new engine and Im not letting them go back with the carbs look on page 89 0f a 2006 empi catalog and see if thats what you need. part #8801 for the 43-4400

Sorry, those are not what I am searching for. I want the old time style cover with holes throughout. I think they are about 1/4" size and the plated cover is completely covered with them. I keep searching. Thanks anyway.

You better post a pictue of that. I know dozens of venders through out the US, and 5 oversea's that sell Vintage Vw and Porsche parts....

Dusty; I think the ones you're looking for are the original Kadron Solex assemblies that came with the first kits; not the newer better known EMPI units; I believe the Knecht are units that fit original old Solex for 356 engines.
