I highly recommend A/C! If you race or drive the car fast like you stole the Car, just turn the A/C that is what I do more power to your motor! I live in Hawaii and it gets Hot almost 365 days a Year! I drive mostly with the top down and the A/C full blast! I have A/C and I would not have purchased the Speedster without it! The only thing I did, was raise the idle on my Carbs, because the motor used to shut off at Street Lites or at a long stand still. I have the under the dash A/C unit the ones I see in Street Rods or Classic Cars. I have seen another owner of a Porsche Replica Dave D. he has the cools Vents in his Dash.

I live in miami and my speedster is my only car. I have A/C in it and only use it when the top is up (when it's raining). It does make maintenance a little trickier but I'm happy I got it. The idle issue is a problem but what I did was rig up a cable that I can set to make the idle just a little faster when the A/C is on. That way I don't constantly have a high idle.
thanks you guys are excellent. I am wondering what monvo are you planning on doing about the ac and what about the motor I was thinking to make mine jump off the line in this town but i am thinking about making it a daily driver with the way gas prices are getting. everyones car looks great. what type of suspension will give the best ride
Hey Will - I have no intention of ptting AC on my car. I don't like driving with the top up and feel that the air is a waste with the top down, in addition it make the maintenence on the motor that much more difficult. I don't have a problem driving the car when it is 100 degrees out until I come to a stop sign or light then the sun really bakes down on you.

I currently have a 1915cc motor with dual kadrons which puts out adequete power for around town driving I even took it up to the central coast of California a couple of weeks ago. When I was driving back the thermometer in Baker CA was reading 114 I waited there for about an hour hoping it would go down and it did...to 113. It wasn't that bad as long as I was moving.

What part of town do you live in? Maybe we can get together for a little cruise sometime. There are 2 other Las Vegas Speedster owners that are SOC members, Tony lives in Whitney Ranch and Will who lives over by the Stratosphere, I live in Summerlin.
