,but I really do need to put my extra money in finishing up my 911 powered Intermeccanica wide body.( see ya in the spring) Just to let everyone know. Alans unreal ,killer looking.one off wide body that sold on E-bay for somewhere around $25000 is for sale at Denny Dotson Motors in Johnstown, Ohio for $17988. You can go to dennydotson.com to see pictures of this mind blowing speedster. The car is brand new with less than 300 miles on the speedo and the pictures speak for themselves. Phone number is 1 740 967 8080. I sold him a real 1958 356 cabriolet a few years back and he is a very honest guy to deal with. Tell him Tom From West Virginia gave you the info. Good luck

I mean it IS weird isn't it?

It's SUCH a COOL looking (and no doubt running) Speedster, why is it so unloved? At one point wasn't it the car that Alan was never ever gonna sell,
the last one that he was ever going to build? Then, there it goes . . . GOTTA be something goin' on here ? ! ? ! ? !
It's a fluke, I can't understand the why of the original buyer selling it but I can tell you all that he was a multi millionaire nit wit to deal with.
I can say that the car is super nice in and out....I had more into it in the purchase price and upgrades than the current seller is asking. Anyone here that is seriously interested in it I'll be more than glad to answer questions. Someone is going to get one hell of a deal! ~Alan
Well.....John Weyand is finishing his, Gerry McLaughlin is working on his, Raul is starting his and I'm trying to figure out how to make room here to start on mine. There have got to be a few more out there floating around that I've forgotten, too......

Wonder if all this activity will get Alan's juices flowing again??

Alan! I can help with your withdrawal symptoms!!!

If I get my other kit down here, come on down!! Got a terrific guest room overlooking a salt marsh (best view in Beaufort), the workshop is getting better by the week, got fabulous Low Country food, and, oh! By the way! Warm Temps and NO SNOW!!!!

I am moving along on my little project, Miss Pig in a Poke.... I have a pan purchased and in the process of clean up currently, getting ready to shorten it, pans cut out, ready for sandblasting now. Spent yesterday building the front suspension, forgot how much fun it is to play in 5 pounds of old grease. Of course my local shop has no zirk fittings, so I ultrasonicially cleaned the old ones. Of course they don't fit the new beam, different threads....also, I was removing parts from my "completely reconditioned, like new, fully accessorized air bag equiped" pan, only to discover a little problem with the ball joint in the Pitman arm, namely the Pitman arm had been drilled out for something else and they builder just bolted the new ball joint in, not bothering to worry about the 1/8" of slop......

Other unplesant surprises include the most current prices from Stoddard on various piece parts of trim and the like....

For the good news I did get a care package in from Carey Hines last week, a big thank you for the quick service, reasonable prices, and FREE consulting services on my little project. Also, Russ at Fiber Steel has been similarily supportive....

Exhaust system is on the way in from one of the SOC members, FI is on the shelf from Wil, more work is underway.

I will have an unused but once installed and removed Air Ride 4 air bag system with computer, air tank, 2 rear air bags, 2 front air shocks, compressor, front suspension parts, rear suspension floating assembly, and all the fittings for sale shortly. I also have an unused but once installed and removed narrowed 4" front beam, and perhaps the entire "reconditioned chassis". If/when I get all this together I will list it here in the classified section...a couple of people have already expressed an interest....I will be more interested in moving it all than in getting the last $$$$ out of it.

By the way the air bag system worked just fine, I just don't want to deal with the alignment issues as well as having that much more to break when 100 miles from home..."slammed" is not what I really need....must have something to do with a lot of gray hair....
