Congrats!!So how did you like the power of the 1915? What tranny do you have? Is it 3.88 or 4.12?I am thinking of upgrading my 1600 to 1915.Please give me some set up info.

The car looks great, good to see the numbers growing up here! Looking forward to seeing it this spring, and taking a couple cruises with ya! When you get it up here I have a place you can the the touch-ups completed.

oh a huge increase in power. I could tell right away. I'm planning on getting dual carbs this spring so that will help. With my stock 1600 I topped out at around 70 but I can do 90 all day if I want now. I would say the engine upgrade is well worth it. I just wish I didnt have to go through so much trouble to get the darn thing. oh yeah and who ever asked it has the 3:88 tranny. I heard its a pretty good one.

You're set up just like me. For dual carbs get a set of 40 Webers or Kadron/Solexes.

Hey guys, I finally purchased my 1st Speedster. I flew from Anchorage Alaska down to Detroit, Michigan to pick it up and then I drove across 10 states 2300 miles to Nevada to were it will be stored until spring. The car is a 1991 CMC assembly that had 5200 miles on it. I upgraded the stock 1600 motor to a 1915cc while in Arizona. Talk about a power difference. You might of seen the car on ebay a couple months ago and now she's all mine. I picked her up for $12,000 grand so I think it was a pretty good deal. By the way, It does have a 6'' scratch that runs pretty deep on the passenger door and a few stress cracks by the front wheel wells. Any ideas on repairing fiber glass?
