This annual event is taking place next weekend at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim. Also, there are several open-house events coordinated with the Porsche Meet. Which of you SoCal SOC knuckleheads want to check out the show? We've been going to this weekend event for several years and its pretty interesting...

Eddy - The gates open Sunday morning at 08:00 but I'll probably be there at 09:00. BTW- I will be driving my beater and not the Speedster as it would be in general parking.

I'm getting there early to park in the show.Puttin'a for sale sign on the Targa.

I was thinking of bringing my Speedster and putting a for sale sign on it. Do you think it would be frowned upon to do this? I know how some of the Porschephiles can be.

Robert, I've seen replicas in the paddock in years past. I think that there may be some customers at this event for a replica. I think it is like $20.00 to park in the corral in the show. And at this point, the more people I piss off with my replica, the happier I am.

I will plan on parking it in the show. I kinda like getting under their skin with my abomination. I just didn't know if they would allow me to park in the show.

Ken was there last year with the Black Widow outlaw and Ray had his green JPS Turbo type 1 in the center with the big boys...

Erwin & I found it interesting, that TruSpeed "fiberglass/tubechassis" Outlaw powered by either Porsche or VW will be available for around 30K-35K

This company understands what we have known all the while :)

Aren't they just a middleman for JPS and Vintage? Save your money and go straight to the source.

Desi - we've toured the TruSpeed facility several times on some of our cruises. They are a Porsche race-prep and consignment facility. The cars they have are Vintage Speedsters. They bring them to Cars & Coffee for show & tell.

I asked John Steele if he was building them and he said he was not.

One of their Speedster ads says "These speedsters are built for us exculsively by Vintage Speedster and start as an early VW pan that is reinforced with 2x4 steel beams for strength, everything from there is new...brakes, suspension, engine and transmission..."

Must not be VS for the coupe then. Nice outlaw details on the red one on their web site, but that one is a real 356, isn't it?

Outlaw 356 Coupe is real. I've been to that shop and saw that car first hand, very cool!

They had a red A Coupe at the show. It was a metal car with a Type 4 engine/911 shroud. Very cool car, I was behind it coming up the 5 to the show. It sounded bad-ass and was well done IMHO.

Well with spring around the corner, Tuff Tubb is running great, I look forward to some WestCoast runs.
